Sixty Coronation Meadows were established in 2013 to mark 60 years since the Queen’s coronation – those in our area are thriving and are now ‘donating’ seed to other wildlife sites in the area.
At Fancott Meadow in Bedfordshire, the seed that has been harvested this summer is destined for a new meadow to be created in the heart of Limbury in Luton, which makes it a first, as an urban Coronation Meadow ‘receiver’.
With thanks to Biffa Award for supporting this project.
